Weird. A girl I work with is really into James Blake - she sent me some of his stuff about a year ago and it was a ghastly electronic dubsteppy kind of noise I filed under Young Person's Music and ignored. Surprising to hear his album doesn't sound anything like that. Might check it out.

I saw him on the cover of the Guardian's Guide and immediately thought it was nothing for me. But I like the album cover photo and thought I should give it a listen. It's not something that immediately seduces, but I found it unusual enough to be interesting and worthwhile investigating. He also looks very familiar, like I've seen him around London before.

The new PJ Harvey record is the one that's exciting me most at the moment - she's a bit of a goddess. I'm looking forward to the new Low one as well (better than Guns and Drums, hopefully, which I thought was their weakest effort to date)

i saw lost in trees last week as an opener and they were terrific.

new pj harvey is pretty good!

I saw PJ play one of her new songs on TV and it sounded great! Looking forward to hearing the album tomorrow. :-)
