where else are we smokers supposed to go?
i always say to those that bitch about smokers, go run after cars and yell at them too...cause even if we stop smoking, there will still be pollution and nastyness in the air.
and, i would rather smell second hand smoke, than people's gross nasty body odour.

so, could be worse!

Hehe, I knew that comment would get some attention. ;-)

Speaking as an ex-smoker, I totally understand that allowances have to be made for people who smoke. But it still is something hard for a non-smoker to deal with, especially when so many people are doing it non-stop! It's slightly worse than nasty body odour since B.O. doesn't affect your health the way it does.

There are now some very cool smoking tools that can give you the nicotine hit without polluting the air. king_prawn uses it - it has a green glow and a little electrical machine that goes with it. The smoke that comes out smells like perfume. It's perfect! I wish every smoker would use that - everyone would be happy (will find out what it's called and send you a link.)

and i am not really mad at YOU, Ollie, just how we smokers are the lepers of society.but i actually do get physically ill from people with horrible b.o, so to me, both are equally bad. (cause i admit, although i am a smoker, second hand smoke bugs me at times too.but shhhh)

I sympathise with the passive smoking thing - I usually go away from everyone else and skulk in a corner somewhere, returning shamefully later, reeking of cigarettes. The perfumed smell from that electric cigarette you're talking about really bugs me though!
