Not his death, I remember that, but Morrissey talking about it.

Now here's another thing - I remember, after it happened, reports that De Menezes had run from the police; they weren't wearing clothing that identified them as officers and he ran, they chased him down and eventually shot him. Aram doesn't remember this. Is this just part of those "contradictory" statements that came out shortly after his killing?

It's part of the contradictory statements. He was follow by officers in plain clothes, that's true, but they never did anything to stop him until he was inside the train (when he got shot). They could have stopped him on the bus to the station, for example, or as he was picking up a copy of the Metro before going past the turnstiles...

They don't. These guys that shot him were a specific unit hunting the terrorists that had failed to blow up bombs the day before, so they were allowed guns.
