I just put it on my rental list. One of those films I've heard about over the years but never got around to watching. I heard there's lots of special effects and explosions! ;-)

Yeah, you need to suspend disbelief a little to get past the inordinate amount of CGI monsters and spacecraft but otherwise, it's a strong film. Andre the Giant gives his best ever performance and the dinner itself is a show-stopper.
