Last night I went down to the Southern Cross for the last Howltearoa of '06. Despite having spent all day writhing about feeling wicked sick from overdoing it at the Poetry Studio the day before I managed to drag myself out of the house and actually ended up having a pretty good time. 'Twas a good night indeed. I'm hoping for more performances by The Nuisance in near future. The whole subject of detatched clinical types picking over your psyche from behind clipboards is one that can be pretty harrowing for me if handled the wrong way, but these guys just made it so funny. I already sort of know and have had a few beers with one of them so I know what his buzz is. So they got more than just the obligatory polite applause from this punter.

I don't want you to stress about presents! If you really want to get me and Eamon stuff we want go to Iko Iko in cuba mall. Go to the section at the back with various interesting things in jars. They're usually about a fiver each. But don't get a wind up platypus cos I already have one.
Also the Metshop on the other side of the carpark on cuba street (just down from ghuznee) usually has interesting and cheap items.
What's your christmas wish?? One that I can actually grant please.
