very interesting here, because it looks like the colors are washed, but they're not. that little speck of red car and that line of wood testify. i like the small vertical strips in the background echoing the monolith of the foreground. and, maybe i'm alone in this, but it feels like the pipes are coming down into the picture, like some big urban finger getting into the shot to point at the big stamp the post office put on the sidewalk.
