I've had a hell of a time in this last month of my Master's program. Not only did I find out I'd been taking the whole thing far less seriously than I should have (and thinking I could just waltz into a PhD that way), I've been getting more and more upset about the quality of my work. The point where the trainwreck you've made of your grad school career gets turned around and you can see a faint glimmer of hope that you're going to finish after all is one of the greatest moments of your life.

I speak from experience.

It didn't seem like it at the time, but looking back I think the day I finally got consistent results out of my experiments was a far more momentous occasion than my thesis defense.

Hang in there. If your prof thinks your thesis is good, passing the defense should be a foregone conclusion.
