like many people, when i am done with my letter sets i tend to be left with a grouping of random letters that i could never use to create the perfect title. over time, i break down these letter sets by letter into a small parts box that mechanics would use. recently this box has become so full that the drawers could barely close so i needed to find ( Read more... )

it weighs more than a normal page but less than you would think.... i dont know exactly. but i didnt use all chipboard letters i used a bunch of foam thickers and vinyl ones too. this makes it still have the dimension but not so much weight....

the problem, is that it is thick. duh amy... no kidding, right? well it may seem obvious to others that it would be thick but i didnt start to worry about how thick it would be until i started embellishing on top of this hand made background. it REALLY makes the layout bumpy. to fix this, i cut an extra 8th inch off the top and side of the 12x12 to give a little more play in the page protector...

Cool idea! I do need to organize my unused letters. But great way to use them up!

thank you. i find that organization is key to everything for me when it comes to scrapping. it keeps me hyper aware of what i have and what i can use at any given point. plus, storing the unused leftovers the way that i do cuts down on space because all that extra packaging goes bye-bye.
