She wasn't as young as she used to be-- years of fighting and narrow escapes had left their mark on her body, silvery scars that lay beneath the still-healing marks-- but when Jack looked at her, appreciative and affectionate all at once, seeing the scars but also seeing her, she could feel her heart thumping like she was sixteen again.

Lucrezia is just as possessive of Cesare as her brother is of her, but she is quieter about it than he is; she simply agrees with him, leaning deeper into his kiss, when he murmurs jealously, "Your heart is mine!"
