Supernatural; Sam/Gabriel; Gabriel helps out when he can, but never lets them know. Sam isn't stupid, though.

It started with small things; tiny things. It's only later that Sam can point at these instances and say, "That was too good to be true."

When guns or knives are knocked from their hands, they're strangely just within reach at the necessary moment. When they fire a shot or slash with a blade, sometimes they land where Sam, Dean or Cas wanted them to, as opposed to where the aim should have landed. At first Sam puts it down to dumb luck, but after a while, they've never been so consistently 'lucky ( ... )
