Alec didn’t mind living in grey areas: good/bad; legal/illegal - they were all relative terms as far as he was concerned. He was built by a shadowy government agency operating completely outside the bounds of the law, so why should he feel compelled to follow society’s rules? Screw ‘em.

Alec didn’t have many internal controls and understood he was lacking a moral compass but this was different. This feeling…this need was programmed into him, and even he was able to recognize what damage could be done. Under normal circumstances when Alec was in his right mind Logan could take him on physically, but in this heightened state there would be no playful jockeying for position, no teasing, tormenting touches; Alec would have to be dominant and he wouldn’t care how he got there. This heat always blurs the line between right and wrong - there is only need, and fulfilling the need by any means necessary ( ... )
