Come on in and pull up a chair~! =^.^= I'm still creepy_shetan and I'm still your host on this fine Thursday. I hope that you're wearing green and that you're having a great St. Patrick's Day! ♫

Today's theme: non-human characters. Prompts and fills should focus on animals, aliens, androids, and everyone in between.

A reminder of the rules:

Stargate Atlantis, Evan Lorne, he really IS a robot, an advanced AI starting to question his 'make everyone happy' programming

Here was the thing: John got it. He really did. With the limited amount of personnel and resources that could supply said personnel on Atlantis (and the fact that all personnel had to do triple-duty, which meant the military commander and chief science officer of the expedition went off-world and faced certain danger together), an android programmed with a high-level AI was the perfect choice as XO. That didn't mean it wasn't creepy as hell ( ... )

But then Parrish threaded his fingers through Lorne's hair and kissed him back, and John thought, We're screwed. The singularity has arrived. He'd talked to Rodney about Lorne enough times to learn some things about robotics and AI theory. When an AI started doing what it wanted instead of what it was programmed to do, it was time to call in the big guns.

"Chuck," John said quietly, "dial up the SGC."

"Yes, sir," Chuck said, but he was staring at the tableau down in front of the gate.

John cleared his throat loudly. "Major."

Lorne disengaged from Parrish slowly, both of them breathing hard (robots didn't need to breathe, dammit!). Parrish was smiling widely, murmuring something low that made Lorne smile, and John kicked Chuck in the ankle.

"Chuck," he said. "The SGC. Dial it up nowChuck shook himself out of his trance, blushing, and began the dial-up sequence ( ... )

Why? Why do you treat Lorne this way? He's such a nice person/android, and yet you seem bound and determined to keep him from being happy. ::shakes head::

Loved the Andy reference, and the fact that Lorne and Parrish regularly travel offworld together to recharge batteries. I don't blame John for being cautious, but I was still disappointed when he called the SGC and had Lorne recalled. I bet Parrish was too, poor guy.

You just wait. Next Lorne prompt I leave is going to call for nothing but fluffy love and rainbow kittens. ::grins::

Thank you for the excellent fill!

...I'm sorry? I was trying to go for creepy sinister robot!Lorne and failed pretty hard. Because Lorne's always a good guy.

I couldn't resist an Andy reference, though.

If you want fluffy Lorne, just ask. :)

I didn't find Lorne sinister at all. Just his usual friendly self, and then happy in that moment. That end line was pretty sinister, though.

Don't be sorry. It was awesome. I'm just sad Lorne didn't get to be happy, android or not.

There will be fluffy Lorne prompts, you just wait! LOL!
