Radek was surprised when he met Sheppard's new XO, a sweet-faced, blue-eyed young man who reminded Radek of a student he'd once known back at Marysk, a student who'd been brilliant and kind and just out of reach. "He's also in the SGC, and in the SGC horror is a daily occurrence," Radek said.

"Grim, Doc. But true. So, to what do I owe the pleasure? Did you need me to initialize something?"

"No," Radek said, and then in Czech, "I just wanted to be sure you are all right."

Lorne's eyes lit up, and he murmured back, "So you found out."

"I called McKay a pink flying pig just for you.Lorne burst out laughing for half a second, then winced and clutched his ribs with his good hand

Lorne's breath hitched, brow furrowed in pain, and he said, "Talk to me, will you? Just...talk to me. So I don't have to think."

About what the Genii had done to him. Radek suspected no one would ever know the full details.

Ouch, but still... I love that this. I've never thought about that pairing before, and I think I need to go find some more.

I am just endlessly mean to Lorne and really need to stop it.

The other option was Lorne/Parrish and it has been done so many times, so I thought I would try something new. :)

You can make any pairing sound plausible. It's your superpower. ::grins::

Love that Lorne speaks Czech, just another connection between them. And that Radek spends so much time with him while he's asleep and recovering. This is sweet, and sad.

The other option was Porne, and let's fact it, that's a pretty popular ship, and Lorne and Zelenka have waaaay more screen time together. (Them playing that civilization game? Hilarious.)

So I thought I would give it a shot.

Also there is a Czech bakery near the office and I haven't had kolaches in forever and I was kinda hungry.

...I am so horrible to Lorne, aren't I?

Eeh, thanks so much for filling this! I love your fills, and I always hope for more Lorne/Zelenka. The fact that Lorne speaks Czech is adorable, and I loved the kolaches-though that ending :|. Maybe they hooked up after DADT repeal.

Welcome! I wanted to try Lorne/Zelenka because Lorne/Parrish is done so much. Maybe one day we will find out what happened to them. :)

This was just all kinds of wonderful! I always love Radek speaking Czech, and to have Lorne too was just ♥♥♥! I love how Radek was quietly comforting, helping Lorne forget all the bad things... I'm so going to imagine them getting happily together after this ^_^ (I have a soft spot for Radek, and Lorne, and rare pairings, and happy endings :D)

Welcome! I have a soft spot for rarepairs too, and so I looked at the prompt and took the rarer pair option. I think that for all Zelenka can get fired up pretty quickly, in general he's a pretty low-key kinda guy. I sort of did the TFLN fill as a bit of a sequel, so a happy ending is possible, should the right prompt arise.
