Good morning, everybody! I’m Doreyg and today's theme is One Word Prompts. That seems pretty self explanatory, but the prompts today must only be one word long.

Author’s choice, any, bed

Mini-Fill - Hunger Games, Finnick

Finnick doesn't own a bed. The one provided for him in Victors Village had been plush, the finest Capitol money could buy, and he enjoyed it for two years. A month after his sixteenth birthday, he donated it anonymously to the District Four needy. He sleeps on the floor, now. Occasionally the couch, if the numb spot in his side from the knife wound he'd sustained long ago in his Games gives him fits.

But never a bed. Annie mentions it, once, when she spends the night and eyes his sparse bedroom.

"I don't like them," is all he says, and she doesn't press.

Finnick sleeps on the beach sometimes, on nights he returns home from the Capitol, where the sea swallows his screams and clouds cover him in shadow.
