“You’re going to cry tomorrow and embarrass the hell out of her, aren’t you?” Steve teased as he wrapped his arms around Christian from behind, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Christian turned in Steve’s arms, kissing him on the lips. His eyes glistened with unshed tears. “Probably in the middle of walking her down the aisle,” he agreed. He leaned forward, his forehead resting against Steve’s and exhaled shakily.
“Hey,” Steve soothed. “What’s wrong?”
“I…” Christian trailed off and shook his head. “It’s just… where’s it all gone, Steve? Seems only yesterday she was learning to walk, holding on to my little finger and now… she’s gettin’ married tomorrow.”
“She’ll always be our little girl,” Steve promised, his arms tightening as Christian trembled, relaxing against him.
