Hi again~! ^_^ I,
creepy_shetan, am here to offer a means of distraction on this oddly mild Wednesday.
Today's theme: rare pairs. Everyone's got 'em. Now's the time to share 'em.
A reminder of the rules:

"Who taught you swing?" Bucky asks Clint.
He grins and gives the same maddening answer he gives about most of his skills. "Circus. I kind of prefer trapeze though."
Natasha shushes him with a soft kiss on the mouth, then drags Bucky out onto the floor to dance in each other's arms. Her body knows the steps of a different age, no less fun for being older than she is.
She grins at him and he wonders why he thinks she wasn't made for swing dance.
"I only tango for a mark," she tells him abruptly, as though reading his mind, then smiles. "It's not one of my hobbies."
Her hobbies are trashy romance novels and throwing her legs over both of theirs on the couch while commenting acerbically on Clint's Dog Cops marathons-"Hey! Respect the badge." "They're dogs, Clint."-and scheming who to matchmake with whom while getting Bucky's advice ( ... )

I love the snark about sniping, and Clint the cover hog griping about covers. I love the matchmaking, and Bucky's comment about Steve never letting himself be taken care of, and all three of them getting each other and indulging one another just enough.
This is so lovely - thank you so much!!!

I think that's one of the cutest things about Natasha in Captain America 2, and it struck me as particularly a nice combo with my headcanon of her reading romance novels. She didn't have a perfect life growing up (rather the, you know, direct opposite), but she enjoys trying to give everyone else she cares about theirs.
And them both being snipers was impossible to resist and a few other people totally gave me cover hog Barton as a headcanon. It was fun just throwing them all together into a little fic about one of my favorite threesomes ever. (Okay, definitely my favorite.)
:hugs:

Relationships always seem to be in the little things, and it was fun to have a prompt that really made me think of how to show that.
