  1. Where do I find the Comment Fic collection on AO3?

Theparent collection for all years of Comment Fic fills is BiteSized Bits of Fic.There is a subcollection for each year from 2008 to 2015.

  1. Which subcollection do I put my work in?
If you've filled a prompt and posted it to AO3, please add it to the collection. They're grouped by year. Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2008, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2009, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2010, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2011, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2012, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2013, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2014, Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 and Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016.

Ifyou filled a prompt given in a previous year, please add it to both collections. For example, if you filled a prompt from 2013 in the year 2014, the fic would be added to both collections.

  1. What if I don’t know which year the prompt was in?

If you don't know which year the prompt is in, just add your fic to the year you wrote the fic in.

  1. What if I don’t remember which year I wrote the fic?

If you don't remember and cannot easily determine which year you wrote afic, you may add it to the parent collection.

  1. Are my stories crossposted to AO3 without my opting in?

Comment Fic volunteers will not crosspost your work to Archive of Our Own, nor will we create any work in your name.

We will bookmark your work by creating a link to the fill where it's posted onLiveJournal. The information included in this bookmark is:

• the unlinked LiveJournal name you posted the fill under

• the appropriate fandom(s) and character(s)

• the prompt you filled

• the title of your fill as listed on LiveJournal

• the theme of the post

  1. What is the difference between a bookmark and an archived work?

An archived work is posted on Archive of Our Own using their system. A bookmark is simply a link to your work and serves as an index of fills for Comment Fic.

  1. Why are stories both bookmarked and archived as works?

Bookmarks allow users to locate fills based on the prompt, fandom, and/or theLiveJournal name, as well as enable us to link back to theLiveJournal fill itself.

Archived works are entirely voluntary on the part of Comment Fic writers, who decide whether to crosspost to AO3 or not and make their works more visible to the AO3 community.

  1. How do I opt my stories out of being bookmarked?

Ifyou explicity do not wish us to index your fills, please comment to this post to opt out of the bookmarking.

  1. Who bookmarks my fills in the collection?

Right now, scribblemyname (AO3) | scribble-myname (LJ) is bookmarking fills on AO3. If you want to volunteer to help bookmark, please contact simplyn2deep, the owner of the Comment Fic community.
