Inception, Arthur/Eames, competency

Eames is in now way incompetent. Arthur knows this. Eames know this. Strangers, on the other hand, do not. It may seem unfortunate to be perceived as anything but witty and capable, but if anything, it's an advantage. When clients are quick to judge, their body language screams impressive after a job well done. Eames' gambling buddies, who'd mistaken him for someone half-witted, were left gaping at his hand the first time he'd beat them all in an intense game of poker.

Time and time again, people have seen, but they've never truly looked.

"Specificity," Arthur repeats, eyes narrowing at the shit eating grin on the forger's face. Arthur very well knows that Eames is familiar with the word. During their second encounter, Eames had said, "I'm going to need some specificity here, darling," eyes shining bright with amusement as Arthur glared.
