Methos is very careful to keep his mind focused on the present. He has so much past trailing behind him, so many memories waiting to lure him in and never let him surface

very deep and it reminds me of the Rolling Stones x Ceaser quote he first says

Thanks! I'd forgotten about that quote, but yeah, he makes comparisons across time that wouldn't work without a really amazing memory.

I really want to read a finc in which Methos travels with the rolling stones as a member of the opening band...

hey he had the hair for it in his horsemen days and he would also get to relive those wonderful times in Rome where Bacchus was worshipped

Query: did he take the memory of dinosaurs with that first quickening, or is he old enough to remember for himself?

In this version, he's fairly sure that he got the memories of dinosaurs with his first quickening, but he's not entirely sure how to define his identity as separate from the memories he has. He accumulates memories so his personality might be the same as the one who had heard the dinosaurs, but it's a different body. If that makes sense.
