Emily looks up from her notes to stare at Reid. Her gaze flicks to Hotch, talking to JJ by the door, and then back down at her paper.

There is no way. No way at all. She knows Reid. She knows Hotch.

"What's wrong?" Reid asks quietly, smiling at her.

"Nothing," she says, shaking her head. She folds up the page, mouth dry, heart hurting.
