There was something to the man’s affability that Michael found distinctly unnerving. He couldn’t tell if it was the tweedy suit, the bowtie, or the really condescending way the man called him ‘Sport’, like he wasn’t about the same age as Michael. But he paid in cash, explained that there was a bit of a squabble over an inheritance, and he needed the two grandsons of one of his former competitors off his back for a while so he could get a few things together, move on out, and move on up. Michael looked at the intel the client - Cuthbert Sinclair, what a terrible childhood the guy must have had - gave him. Samuel and Dean Winchester. Samuel was a college drop-out, whose record started off with petty crimes and exploded onto the felony scene thanks to his brother Dean, a high school drop-out who’d also started off petty but moved up the ladder to serial murder damn fast. Maybe a little too fast. Apparently Sinclair was running some kind of esoteric museum, and the Brothers Winchester had, more than once, attempted to appropriate portions
