Normally this would not be a problem. Not in the slightest. Unfortunately no matter how much Adam wants to, he can't do normal any more. The Universe seems to have banned him from it.

Dog, being Dog - and by that alone he should be able to take on cats, why is Adam having to be the one to do this again? - is using him as a meat shield, after having provoked it's wrath. Of course said cat does not care, and is happily clawing at Adam's ankles while trying to get to Dog, and fuck it hurts like a bitch ( ... )
