Oh yes. And it's possible that Mycroft develops a crush over their continued meetings. Sherlock teases him mercilessly but can't figure out who Methos is. And Watson is bemused but perfectly happy to chat with Methos over a pint while the brothers glare at each other.

And it goes both ways, too. Mycroft doesn't exactly have peers.

And everyone else thinks they're just using each other, but they are both genuinely *enjoying* that mutual manipulation. (Which sounds a bit dirtier than i had originally intended. Ah well.)
