Steve loves watching gymnastics.

Tiny, compact bodies, usually. Muscular, not skinny like his, but not too tall. Their short stature is an advantage as they hurl through the air, as they lift themselves up, fighting gravity, again and again and again and again. It's punishing work, Steve can tell, and they get through it with grit as much as talent. Even the perfect landings hurt like falls, Steve knows.

He loves watching 4'8" Simone Biles get gold in event after event. She's never happy unless she does her best. She could win gold but if she doesn't outdo herself, she's not satisfied.

He likes the men's events too, especially the rings. Arms shaking, trembling almost, to keep them upright, when the world would like to see them fall.

Bucky thinks that since he's been de-serumed, his old Brooklyn chip on his shoulder has returned.

Bold of him to think it ever left.
