Buffy tilts her head to side and stares at the vampire in front of them. "Fine. You can take him. I'll sit over here if you need help."

And she flounces over to another grave stone, scrambles on top of it and kicks her heels against the stone.

Faith scowls as she holds the oversized stake in her small hand. "Nothing's ever good enough for you."

Still, she stalks along, taking a wide arc around the fresh riser before dodging in for a quick kill, almost as if she's dancing around in fun. But he doesn't dust. Faith drives the stake into his chest again and then her eyes snap up to Buffy when he doesn't disappear into a pile of ash.

"If you can take him then I don't need--"

She stops, eyes going as wide as Faith's. She hops off the grave stone, arms cross over her chest and she just glares.

"You're always messing things up. Can't you just do it right?"

There's no warning, barely a hint of a change in the weather when lightning tears across the sky. In the same instant, Faith is rearing her little hand back and charging at Buffy.

The gravestone they land on smashes into dust, and Faith is just struggling to come out on top.

April stared at her chipped fingers and dirt encrusted hands. She always kept them clean, kept them smoothly manicured as she wiled the hours away working. Wiping them absentmindedly on her coat, April quickly cataloged everything she knew ( ... )

Faith almost growls back, grinning at the chance to tango with a live wire. She cants forward, keeping Buffy in her sight while she uses her lower center of gravity to go for legs, torso; whatever she can get a hold of with tiny claws (her damn stake is still in her pocket, of course).

Buffy is a bit more prepared Duh. She charges with her stake out but the thing about being tiny slayer instead of well...not quite as tiny slayer is that the target--the heart--is a bit out of her reach. At the last minute she turns her stake out a bit, letting Faith take the legs while Buffy attacks her torso. The stake might nick April on the side but not a full out stake.

It was the height difference that put her off her game and despite their sizes, the two girls were more than spry enough to make April hiss with the first nick against her torso. Another thing learned: Wood hurts.

With her legs braced against Faith's charge, April backhands Buffy, too late to stop the pain from running up her side and just off balance enough she could easily miss. But that wasn't the point. The point was to drive Buffy away long enough she could wrap her hands around Faith's shoulders to fling her off before she got a good grip. Either way, April wished she was wearing pants. It'd save them from getting scratched all to hell.

A giggle; something no one has ever really heard from Faith in her adult life (and so rare as a child, too).

"Why's he sound funny?" She saunters away from Buffy to start to circle Spike. Faith does love to jump headfirst into the fray, but something tells her he's different. But that doesn't stop her shark response to the blood in the water.

Buffy falls in line, circling Spike from the other direction. She's got the same sort of feeling. This vamp is different. She's just not sure why.

"Cause I don't know." She tilts her head at him then looks to Faith. "This one's mine. You got the last one."

Possessive? Claiming ensouled vampires as hers? Yeah it's definitely Buffy.
