Beautiful drabble. I loved especially the way you based most of it on auditory sensations.

Thank you. One of the great things about drabbles is how the format forces you to pare down, and that can lead to zeroing in on a couple of sensations. Glad it worked, and glad you enjoyed this.

Oh, oh, painful but hopeful. I agree with the above comment, having him lose his glasses and rely mostly on sound and touch was an awesome choice, it's so intimate.

Yes, for once something good may come out of an incident in a dark alley in Gotham. In fact, upon further consideration it's crossed my mind this is the perfect lead in for that prompt you gave me, about Bruce reading Jim's diary. :)
