Flash appeared at their side, seemingly from nowhere. “Hey, what happens at the annual cross-dimensional barbecue stays at the yada yada... you know what I mean?”

Oh man, Flash. *grins* I've never read this, I should find it--I'm surprised I haven't seen it referenced more recently, because it sounds like a perfect set of characters to cross over! Ollie and Clint with Dinah and Natasha is a very nice image...

I definitely used the characters I'm more familiar with here, some of whom only appear briefly in the mini. It's a pretty fun read, and it's more fun the more you know about comics history, because for a good portion of the story there are time/reality ripples that shift things. So characters change the era of their costume between panels, who exactly is on the Avengers or who Green Lantern or the Flash is shifts around, etc. Each team's commentary on the other's world is pretty great, too.

Also the universes make out with each other, which is surprisingly beautiful.

Ollie and Clint with Dinah and Natasha is a very nice image... I should probably have used Mockingbird rather than Black Widow here, for the parallel, but I thought the joke would work either way, and more people know Natasha. *shrug* :)

Anyway, I'm glad you liked this silly piece, thank you!
