Rules

Each Wednesday, a new prompt will be posted to inspire you! You may interpret that prompt as literally or loosely as you like.

Every drabble/ficlet you post must be -
♥ no more than 500 words.
♥ created new for the prompt (no reposting older work, please).

You may post -
♥ as many drabbles/ficlets in each entry as you like.
♥ as many separate entries per challenge as you like (this rule may be revised depending on comm traffic).

Please use the following header when posting -

Title:
Fandom:
Character(s)/Pairing(s):
Rating:
Word count:
Warnings:
Challenge:

When posting -
♥ you may add to the header, but please don't subtract any catagories, unless there are no warnings required for your work.
♥ you must warn for triggers/disturbing content and spoilers (if you're not sure if something is a spoiler, warn for it just in case).
♥ you may simply include "characters" for gen fic or "pairings" for shipping fic, you're not required to list both characters and pairings each time.
♥ you may post your drabble directly to the comm or link to it at your LJ/Dreamwidth/Tumblr/AO3/wherever you prefer, but please always use the header in your community entries here.

All comic-based fandoms are welcome! This includes spin-offs, such as television shows, movies and video games, as long as the basis of the fandom originated in comic books. However, there is one exception - if the comic is a spin-off of a fandom that was originally based on something other than comic books (such as Buffy, Star Wars, Disney or Sonic) then only drabbles/ficlets based specifically on the comic spin-offs are allowed, not anything based on the original television/movie/video game fandom. We're trying to keep the focus on characters who were born and/or based in comics.

Please tag by challenge number, prominent characters and featured fandoms. Remember, some fandoms fall under an umbrella fandom. For instance, the Captain America and Iron Man movies fall under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond fall under the DC Animated Universe. So if you write something for the Thor movie, please tag it both "fandom: thor (movie)" and "fandom: marvel cinematic universe". That way people browsing the tags can search for a specific sub-fandom or an entire umbrella fandom and still find your entry! For DC and Marvel comic fandoms, please tag by comic universe, such as "fandom: marvel 616 (main continuity)" or "fandom: dcnu (the new 52)" rather than individual comic titles. This is simply because there's so much crossover of individual titles within those particular universes that tagging for each would probably end up a jumbled mess! Comic fandoms other than the Big Two will simply have an all-encompassing tag, such as "fandom: morning glories".

When each new challenge is issued, a list of participants in the previous challenge will also be included. For each drabble/ficlet they contributed, there will be a "♥" next to their name. They will receive a "♥" if their drabble/ficlet was exactly 100/200/300/400/500 words, otherwise they will receive a "♥" instead.

You will have until midnight in your timezone (whichever it may be) of the following Wednesday to respond to each challenge. If a new challenge has been posted on the following Wednesday, you may still respond to the previous week's challenge until midnight, meaning on Wednesdays there will be a slight overlap of challenges.

After we reach every tenth challenge, there will be a bonus round! So between challenge 10 and challenge 11, between challenge 20 and challenge 21, and so on. During the bonus round, you'll be able to write for any existing challenge you like!

Please feel free to ask any questions here.
