I've only had to slaughter a pumpkin once, I too seriously feared losing a couple of fingers!!
Did you manage to sleep on the train? Totally sucks about your lack of sleep, I've been getting sleep deprivation symptoms. =( Gonna have an early night tonight!

And... the fascinating history of women in horticulture appeared to be the subject of an entire BBC documentary. I didn't stick around to find out, though. The BBC is like trains: mostly great, with a few huge fuckups.
