[It’s okay to not talk to those that are apart from you…]
During the national tour, all of us would go out and eat at the local shops. All 9 of us sat around one table so there was quite a distance between us at both ends of tables. Also instead of only talking to the 2 or 3 people sitting around you, we were all able to get fired up about one topic together. Or more like, the people on each end of the table would speak to each other in loud voices and then we’d end up thinking, “Wouldn’t it be best to just not talk?” (laughs) Since we don’t have assigned seats, everyone is always spread around. Since to me it doesn’t matter who sits next to me I can always enjoy myself without having to worry about any awkward feelings. I don’t know if this is different from bonds but, I really felt that having that kind of relationship with the members felt really nice.
In relation to love, some time ago I accidentally over heard what Takaki was talking about and I had the same opinion. We can’t go from friends to lovers with someone. If we’re friends then we’re friends. For example, even if there was a part of someone that I thought was good then I still wouldn’t be able to fall for them because I would have already marked them as a friend. It’d be difficult. That’s why if love was to ever be developed then it’d probably be mainly from first-sight. Takaki and I are the same when it comes to falling in love at first sight; it’s all on the visuals. After all, all you have to do at first glance is looking at the person properly. The first appearance is all on visuals but what’s really more important is what happens afterward. Feeling if a conversation or the atmosphere around her matches up with yours, if that happens then I think that’s when the feelings of “like” are born. No matter what one really says, love really comes down to intuition so in reality, you don’t know what will happen. I’m sorry for this light, airy commentary (laughs)
A great encounter for me was meeting my university friends. It’s not the same as in middle school and high school where everyone around me is the same age, there are people from your own hometown, and other parts of Japan and even abroad. In many meanings, everything around me has expanded. The fact that I met people that I wouldn’t normally be able to meet is a very precious experience. I don’t want to let these relationships end in University; even now we get together once in a while.
