Beauty and Annette had handwavily arranged to meet for a shopping trip today, after their classes were finished. "Hi!" Annette smiled as she met up with Beauty, and her smile great as she looked her friend over. "You look so great! Are you ready to do some more shopping? Maybe get our hair done?" Yes, spending a day treating oneself was one of Annette's favorite things to do.

On the other hand, Beauty had never spent a day treating herself. Unless you counted spending the day lying in bed reading. Which Annette probably did not.

"Thank you," she replied, with a self-conscious smile. "I, um...do you mean getting our hair done like before Homecoming?" While it had been fun, it seemed a bit like a waste, having your hair done up all fancy just to go back to school.

Annette? Actually reads quite a bit. That is one thing that no one really knows about her. She does love to read and she does so quietly and alone.

"Oh, no, not like that. That was for something fancy and all. I'm just talking about maybe a wash and trim, a blow-dry and off we go. It's so relaxing. But I am up for anything you might want to do as well."

"I've never done that," Beauty admitted. "My sisters cut my hair at home, last time. Before that, my governess did." She had no idea what a blow-dry was, but wasn't going to admit to that just now.

"If that's something you do on this kind of trip, Annette, then I think that's what we should do. Especially," she added with a small grin, "if it's relaxing."
