LJ Idol (Home Game), season 6, week 31, Unexplored Country

There are 7107 islands in the Philippines. We limited ourselves to just one of the nearly 4000 inhabited ones so I suppose you could say we didn't really explore much of the country. We still explored as much as we were able to with our limited time.

Nice trip on Luzon-part of the Philippines! :) Although somewhere in Visayas region, if you like white beaches, marine activities (such as snorkling, diving or banana boat riding ) or , then go there. ^__^

Heh, thanks. I'm actually not really a beach person but I think I shall definitely have to head back to the Philippines sometime to see more of the country.

Out of curiosity, how did you come across my entry? I couldn't figure out the connection when I looked at your profile, especially considering I only just posted this entry!

I love your travel blogs...you are such an awesome globetrotter! I wish I could stowaway in your suitcase one of these days...XD

I'm sorry it ended on a kinda unexpected note, but things like that always seem to happen when traveling, right? ><

On the other hand, you guys are all adorable. ♥

Hee, I'm glad you do! Sometimes I wonder if it's really interesting to anyone who isn't me.

I didn't mind so much. My lack of research into the area meant I didn't know what I was missing out on anyway. LOL.

So awesome. I really do envy your travels. They always sound so amazing. Seriously.

And the US historical involvement in the PI isn't really a pretty one, is it? :-)

Heh, maybe I just report about the best bits ;)

No, not really, not from the little I did learn.

lol... well you didn't report on the "best best" bits. :-p

And yeah... the history of US involvement in lots and lots of countries is rarely pretty. Bleh.

LOL, I'm not sure what you might be referring to >.>

Yeah, ugh. Just like my report on Vietnam, huh?

When I skimmed past this on my friends list last week (leaving all the HG entries until the end so that I could read them together, not just ignoring it!) I misread your first line as saying you limited yourselves to just 4000 inhabited islands, not ONE of the nearly 4000 inhabited islands. Needless to say I was rather amazed! And clearly VERY travel-weary because nothing in my head went "uh, wait, 4000 is an awful lot..." XD

I had a mad, heartbreaking crush on a Philippino boy when I was, oh, 16 or 17. He lived in Quezon City so that place always reminds me of him.

Balut sounds realllly not to my tastes either! Heh, I always judge large shopping centres by thinking, is it bigger than Chadstone? That's kind of my yardstick for large!

*rofl* That's hilarious, really. (Also, I have one HG entry I didn't link to the HG thread because I kept it friends only).

Aww. Was it an online crush or did you meet him in person somewhere? Obviously you didn't live in Quezon City.

I have no idea how big or even where Chadstone is, so I could either be laughing or agreeing with you. We have massive shopping centres in KL so I kind of laugh at anything that might be considered big in Australia (or at least WA; I don't think I've been to m/any in the rest of the country).

Ah! I must hunt later!

He was an online boy. Back when I snuck on ICQ in the school library! We never met. I think I still hold a bit of a candle for him. Also, I just realised that someone else from LJI reminds me a -lot- of him XD

Oops, considering where we met I tend to forget that you're not a native! It's the biggest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere though, so a good yardstick for 'large' ;)

Aww, that's just adorable!

haha, yes, no native :P I may have to find out where it is and visit it sometime then, and compare it to the places in KL. After all, we're in the northern hemisphere ;)
