Many thanks for this. I really like your icons so this was a fascinating explanation of them. I don't have Vibrance so seeing how its effect could be duplicated with Hue/Saturation was really useful. I wish I'd seen that second tutorial earlier as I was trying to make a slightly similar icon and messed it up completely *g*.

I've had the best luck/creativity when I go in blind with an image.

Yeah, me too. If I think it out ahead it ends up a complete disaster. If I just go where the image takes me I find it works better.

I'm so glad! Sometimes explaining my thought process is really difficult just because I usually just do stuff and see what works.

Awwww!! I hope you give it a shot again! I know it sucks when you try to do something and fail only to get the advice/help after the fact.
