My roomie just popped out and asked what was going on. Apparently, I reacted quite expressively upon seing this fic.

Was expecting porny minific and you went and took it all kinds of delicious places instead. I'm a sucker for non-traditional objects as relationship signifiers and the Fick family crest cufflinks are goddamn genious. Adding to that you made Nate a traditionalist which really corresponds to him studying the classics, being all into original hardback books (RL!Nate at least) and wearing his grandfather's horseshoe pendant.

Your Mike is brilliant. Especially this: "Mike’s remark has been pointed and long-suffering, and it doesn’t have the cadence of an inside joke, but is clearly referring to something, like it’s been discussed before."

Favorite bit: "Well, he is, and a bit of an asshole too, but Brad thinks he’ll enjoy that." Damn.
