But she is the type of girl Ryutaro calls 'donkusai' -- slow, irritating, typically girlish -- and because of this he doesn't like her. What will happen when Ryutaro's not so good impressions of her got exposed? Will he face the consequences? And will his impressions of her remain the same???

Word Count: 2352 words. (this is so tiring to type...)
A/N: Hey guys!! Hmm, I am actually pissed off right now but that won't stop me from updating this fan fiction which doesn't really appeal to the people. I am terribly sorry for Ryuu because I can't give enough justice to my first fan fic about him... w/c reminds me of what I did a while ago. I forced my younger sister to Ryuu.. HAHAH! I was really into the match making stuff but what shocked me was when she said, 'The most handsome in JUMP is Yuto but he is yours already...' AHAHAH!! XDD
anyway, still self-beta'd. I'm sorry for grammar, spelling, etc.. errors. Spread the love! haha!!
And another thing -- this is the chapter where all the action happen. I hope it won't sound stupid! haha!!

Dozo!~

Chapter 3:
"The Failed Negotiation"

.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Ryutaro flinched annoyingly when he saw Anari marched towards his desk early in the morning. He miraculously arrived at school earlier than usual and was planning to take a nap when she arrived and immediately went to him without even placing her bag to her desk.  "What is it?" Ryutaro asked before yawning.

"You met Takumi yesterday?" She quickly asked. She looked mad.

Good thing Satoshi hasn't arrived yet or Ryutaro would earn another batch of teasing from him. "'Meeting' is different from 'seeing'... I didn't meet him, I just saw him..." He explained.

"Baka!" Anari cursed under her breath, "I really hate that guy!!!!" She whined and was planning to get out of the classroom until Ryutaro got a hold of her right wrist.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

She frowned, "I am going to talk to that shit head! Now, let me go!!!" She tried to pull her wrist out of his grip but her attempt was futile. "Oi, I said let me go..."

The commotion between them grabbed the attention of their classmates who had arrived already in their classroom. He noticed all of them were watching what he was doing to her.

"Don't talk to him anymore." He muttered.

She was confused, "What? Why not??!"

"Don't talk to him so we won't be in trouble..." He said before letting go of her hand. "I'll take care of it..."

His last words made her heart beat faster than normal. 'H-he'll take care of it... For real?' Anari stood frozen in front of his desk in shock as Ryutaro continued with his initial plan on that morning, to take a nap.

"Oyasumi..." He muttered before closing his eyes.

.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Ryutaro frowned at the sight of a small paper slipped between his books when he came back from talking to their teacher about his schedule. He took and opened it.

We need to talk. At the rooftop, NOW!
-Mizuno

Ryutaro frowned once more, 'How demanding...' He read the note again. 'At the rooftop? What the?! Does she have any plan on tiring me as a way of punishment?'

He looked around their classroom and saw his classmates eating their lunches already. He patted his stomach which he felt growling at the sight. "I am hungry now..." He mused.

.-.-.-.-.-.-.

The rooftop door creaked open.

Anari smirked. "Finally..." She exclaimed without looking at the person who arrived. She was sure it was the person she was waiting for. "Don't you know how long I have been waiting in here? I haven't eaten lu--"

But before she could finish complaining, a bento was shoved to her lap. "Ehh.."

"Urusai yo~"

She looked up and saw Ryutaro's smug face.

Her heart beat faster than usual again. 'What the heck heart-chan?! Stop getting wild just because of him! He said I am annoying so he doesn't deserve your wild beats, okay?!' She scolded herself.

Ryutaro sat beside her, on the bench under the shade of the roof. He didn't have any plan on basking under the sun on noon. He then opened his own bento and muttered, "Itadakimasu!"

She was speechless.

Ryutaro looked at her, "What do you want to talk about?" And then munched a shrimp from his bento.

"Ahh..." She stuttered. 'H-he's looking at me now like I'm the only girl in the world! W-wait, I am the only girl in here anyway... I should stop daydreaming! I hate this guy, I hate Morimoto Ryutaro!' She then busied herself with the bento he gave. "Thanks for this."

"Thank me after you pay..." He said.

She was surprised, "P-pay? I thought you gave this to me! I didn't ask you to buy me lunch!"

"Yeah, I gave that to you but that doesn't mean I'm treating you."

"How stingy!!! Aren't you rich?"

Ryutaro peeked at his lunchbox to find another shrimp, "I am not rich and I work for every penny of my money. That's 150 yen!"

She pouted. "Fine!"

"I don't treat people unless I find them important to me, you know..." He muttered before munching another piece of shrimp.

Those words made her disappointed. 'Yeah, the hell I care! I don't like you anymore so it's fine!'

And the both of them got silent. Each was busy eating their lunches on the school rooftop as the breeze blew steadily.

"By the way, what is it that you want to talk?" He asked the same question for the second time breaking the silence between them.

"What did Takumi say to you?" She asked quickly.

He thought about it for a while, like searching for the right words to say, "He said I have a pretty face." He chuckled.

Anari wanted to throw up. "WHAAAT? Be serious!" She yelled.

He laughed then turned serious. "He actually said that I should get away from you."

She sighed. "That bastard! I told him we broke up already but he didn't believe me! I hate him and his dumb assed friends. I am really sorry for putting you in this trouble Morimoto-kun." She apologized without looking at him,

He glanced at her, 'So I am now Morimoto-kun? This is the first time I heard her call me with that! It's always Ryutaro or Mori-chan...' He thought. 'Maybe I really made her angry about what I said to Satoshi that she already changed the way she calls me.' He felt a little disappointed.

"Maybe if I just went home directly on that afternoon, you wouldn't rescue me from those bastards and you won't be in this mess." She continued.

"So you admit it...?"

"Admit what?" She was puzzled.

"That you were waiting for me that afternoon because you saw me still sleeping on the classroom." He revealed.

"I told you I wasn't waiting for you during that time!" She insisted.

"Stop denying it. I know you didn't have any errands with your club president because she was absent that day."

Ryutaro knew that the president of her club was one of their classmates and he remembered that when their teacher was roll calling for the attendance, the president's best friend said she was absent due to fever.

'I have a good memory, you know!' Ryutaro thought.

Anari felt her face heating. She was just caught red handed. "So what if I was waiting for you? Nothing will change..." She protested in defeat.

"I was the reason why I got into this trouble so stop blaming yourself, okay?!" Ryutaro said. His voice sound so assuring.

She was teary. She wanted to hug him but she knew she couldn't. She just faced away from him and let the wind dry the tears welling on the corners of her eyes. "Okay, I'll be blaming you then..."

"Sure! Don't worry, I said I'll take care of it so just believe in me." He stated and then he stood up. He finished eating lunch already.

She turned to him. "Arigatou Morimoto-kun..."

"No problem.... Just gave me the payment of the bento when you return to the classroom. I'll go ahead!" He said before disappearing from her sight.

Anari sighed heavily. She felt her burden lighten up after their talk. 'Every thing will be fine. He will take care of it... And I will start blaming him for this...'

.-.-.-.-.-.-.

The school bell rang, signaling the end of the class. Everyone was rowdy. There were no club activities so most of the students were going home already, including Ryutaro and his classmates.

They were walking towards the gates when Ryutaro saw Anari walking ahead of them.

"I'll go ahead Sato..." He said.

Sato just nodded, "Okay..."

He walked faster to caught up with Anari. "Yo!~" He greeted.

Anari turned to him in shock... "W-what do you want?" She asked in an alarmed tone. 'What is he doing? I've already paid the bento he bought me this lunch!'

"I know you are going to talk to him." He muttered while looking in front of them.

She narrowed her eyes, "No I'm not. You said you'll take care of it anyway..." She denied.

"Oh really..." He sounded suspicious.

She got annoyed, "Yeah, really..."

"Well if that's the case, I'm gonna be talking to him alone then."

She glared at him in disbelief, "What?"

.-.-.-.-.-.-.

"Are you sure they are here?" Ryutaro asked in doubt while looking at the wide vacant space under a bridge that connects two towns over a river.

She nodded while looking around too, "This is where they hang out, the three of them. I remember seeing them in here!"

Not too long, the people they are waiting for arrived.

Anari started shaking. She was getting nervous. 'Don't panic. Don't panic. He is with you; he will take care of everything! Just trust Morimoto Ryutaro even if he said you annoy him! Even if he said you are not his type!! Be brave Anari!' She cheered herself as she approached where Ryutaro was.

"At long last..." Ryutaro muttered, relieved that his waiting has ended.

"What are you doing here?" Takumi asked angrily. Seeing the site in front of him, the girl he loves together with her so-called boyfriend, made him jealous.

"We are here to talk." Anari answered in her most polite tone.

Ryutaro frowned at her, 'What is that sudden kind voice for??'

She smiled at Ryutaro nervously. 'I'm trying to make this as peaceful as possible, stupid!' Her eyes tried to communicate.

"What else could we talk about?" Takumi barked.

"Maybe the guy wants to appear so cool in front of his girlfriend that's why he dared coming in here!" The thin guy butted in.

"But too bad we will gonna hit him badly he won't be able to walk for weeks!" The other guy added and the three of them laughed like mad.

"We didn't come here to fight!!!" Anari protested. "As I said, we came here to talk!"

"Then spit it out..." Takumi ordered while still stopping himself from laughing due to the humor his friends displayed.

"L-listen..." Anari started but stuttered.

"...Stop courting her!" Ryutaro said when she wasn't able to continue what she was talking because of nervous.

"WHAT?" Takumi glared daggers at him.

"M-morimoto-kun!" Anari scolded him. 'Is he trying to get us killed in here? This is not the death I am dreaming of and I am too young!!!!' Her thoughts protested.

"Anari is my girlfriend now. She doesn't like you that's why she never dated you! Can't you see your making a fool of yourself by sticking with a girl who doesn't like you back?!" Ryutaro stated like he was really a boyfriend.

Anari gasped. Her thoughts got more alarmed. 'What is he talking about? He is making this worse!!! NO!!!'

"There are thousands of girls out there who might like you back. Who are far better than Anari... You don't need to spend all your life courting her, scaring and beating up all the guys who will be her boyfriend and hope for something that will never happen!!!"

'Thousands of girls far better than me???' Anari got insulted and glared at Ryutaro.

Ryutaro just looked at her with a blank expression,

But those words made Takumi looked down and gloomy.

'Maybe what said hit him on the core. Maybe he had realized how stupid he looked like. Maybe this time, I'm gonna be free...' Anari thought. Her face lit up in happiness. Finally, she would be free from her troublesome suitor.

But she suddenly shuddered in fear. Her hopes were all gone when she saw Takumi hurdling a punch towards Ryutaro.

"NOOOOOOOO!" She exclaimed.

But it was too late. Ryutaro wasn't able to dodge it. Takumi deceived him, letting him think it was all over.

Ryutaro's body slammed to the ground. Dust mixed with the air due to the impact. She heard him moaning in pain.

Anari froze on where she was. "M-morimoto-kun...." She gasped in shock.

"So what if I do that? It's none of your business!!!" Takumi yelled angrily at him.

Ryutaro hissed before standing up. He touched the painful part of his face and saw blood on his hands. 'Shit! Johnny-san will surely chew me off... and the worst, Okaa-san will kill me!!!'

Anari stood on the side in horror. 'What am I going to do? WHAT? How can I help him? Anari, think, THINK!'

Takumi did send another punch aiming his face again but earned a hard kick on the stomach from Ryutaro. Takumi's eyes widened at how painful it was and curled on the ground, touching his stomach.

The two guys behind looked at Ryutaro and positioned themselves to attack him.

Ryutaro bit his lower lip and prepared himself. "Let's get this on!"

Anari watched in bewilderment. She saw how Ryutaro moved in great speed, hitting each of the guys hardly on their bodies with his palm like he was a martial artist.

In few moments, the three of them were groaning in pain while laying on the ground.

Ryutaro gasped. 'That was exciting...' He thought.

Suddenly, he heard a clapping sound. He turned to his left and saw Anari clapping.

"You are awesome!" She exclaimed while still clapping. Her eyes were sparkling in admiration.

"I didn't earn my black belt in Taekwondo for nothing!" He snapped arrogantly.

She was astounded, "You are a black-belter in Taekwondo? WOW! I never knew..."

Ryutaro dusted himself from the impact he had with the ground when Takumi unexpectedly hit him. "You didn't ask..."

She looked at the three guys on the ground, "You sure beat them badly..." She commented.

"Hey, the three of you, if you ever do any stupid things again, I'll double what I did a while ago..." He warned and started walking away.

Anari followed him quickly.

"I think we choose the wrong opponent today..." The guy with brown hair muttered in between pain-filled groans.

"She did get a worthy boyfriend." Takumi said in disappointment. "Let's not disturb her anymore...”

"I told you didn't I? That loving her will give us trouble!" The thin guy retorted annoyingly.

Takumi nodded, "Yeah! I'm sorry okay... I was just blinded by that stupid feeling."
