Your last obsession? anotherday7 November 29 2005, 21:14:16 UTC
Ours last obsession! The Phantom is something incredible. Now we can't see any kind of musicals in Italy cause ther's nothing similar. Sigh. It was a fantastic experience near music, magic and cinema, really unique!!
If you have the possibilities go to see it, it's a must seen!!

Oohh.... it's a real PLEASURE to have one of your comments here! I sincerely hope that it will become a custom between us!

You're right, that show was SO unique that now I fear that nothing will seem worth seeing here at home... but, at least, we have memories! And I still hope that someone will try to do it even in Italy, maybe in the future... But we can always return to London once in a while to see it again, don't you think? ;)

Take care, a big kiss!!

I came into the Phantom universe with the ALW play..... dracschick November 30 2005, 00:40:01 UTC
what bothered me about the movie was that they made Christine seem more in love with Raoul (she even mouths the words "I love you" to Raoul before kissing the Phantom).

In the play, the Christine character looks like she'd need just a little push to go with the Phantom.

These were some of my posts on the movie

I agree. I adore Emmy Rossum, I believe she is a gorgeous girl, but I could not STAND how Raoul was OOC, and how they made Erik look like someone smacked him with a frying pan. His deformity was nowhere near what I thought it could have been.

Also, I have a problem with how Christine is interpreted...hello...she's supposed to be entranced with teh Phantom, Erik, yes, but not to the point where she looks like someone smacked HER with the same frying pan as Erik. My opinion.

As you know, I love the movie. Gerard Butler became the Phantom; I love his rough voice too. And I love Emmy Rossum; she's a great actress and I think she has a clear, beautiful voice. She made a wonderful Christine ( ... )

I have to agree with you about his face deformity in the movie. It really wasn't that horrible and even when we saw it for the first time after Christine took off his mask, it was only a second and it took look bad then either.
