Profile codes can be difficult here since there are things you can't do with it. So you are limited.

I've seen a couple of your designs on mintyapple and I often think about how you got into scripting in the first place. Nay, how anyone gets into scripting a whole design layout really. Do you, yourself, prefer designing an entire LJ layout or profiles?

And the limitation kind of makes it a sucky experience but it's also like a challenge^^

It's been more then 10 years ago since I got into scripting. I remember starting to make layouts for greatestjournal. Someone had posted 4 base S1 layouts there you could use and do what you want with it. That's how I started. My first layouts looked ugly design wise. But I got better over time.

I like designing entire layouts better then profiles. You can do much more with it. I feel like profile wise I've already designed everything.

And here I was thinking I've seen most of the prominent blogging sites of the last decade. I've never heard of gj until today. Site's on sale, huh? Total shame, reminds of sites like Elfwood and FOD.
Was that post meant to be used as a teaching-point or was it just something that peaked your interest and took it upon yourself to learn it?

What do you consider, when looking at a web-design, to be good? Btw, I had a bout of interest with scripting during the years and days of FOD but I got bored of computers for several years after. I've sort of just started rekindling my love of scripting. Ever come across lissaexplains.com?

I've only started but I've suddenly become curious about designing profiles. Designing a whole layout seems like a huuuuuuge attempt! Btw, do you write scripts from scraps or do you sometimes take a base?

I watched some VSA with my friends two little girls. They'd never seen anything Japanese before I ended up teaching them a few random words. It's generally more fun watching that show with someone else because unless there's an actor on that I like it gets a little bit monotonous for me (that is unless one of Arashi do something particularly funny but that's not guaranteed.)

Your drawing of Ohno is looking great. Faces are the most important feature anyway but also I look at hands in a drawing. Beautifully drawn hands can really make a difference to how professional something looks. The pale orange was the one I immediately preferred although the light purpley color worked too.

Agree^^ VSA is more a social thing and it's fun watching with kids as they're more into games and sports (and combi of such).
I can't really hate VSA because it's what got me to further research about Arashi but I do have those moments where if I don't know who the guests are, I'm less than 100% interested. Sometimes I skip over those bits and just focus on when Arashi themselves play. It's good to have on in the background.

Thank you for the compliment and opinion. I was really struggling with the background. Staring at the same thing for hours can make everything look the same lol! So you have a hand fetish too? And I agree about the hands, unfortunately, there's no hands in the original picture.

But Ohno does have beautiful hands, better than some girls I know lol :P In my next fanart maybe, his hands will be included *wink*

Yes to the hand fetish :-) Ohno's hands are gorgeous. Nice thumbs!. If a guy is going to be touching me, I definitely want it to be with nice hands.
