this is so beautiful. i've read it about a dozen times and with each reading my appreciation of it deepens a bit more. i've been longing to read an exploration of the sherlock/jim relationship that imagines them without the explicit hero/villain antagonism for ages now and this is absolutely stunning. thank you so much for this, i live for this pairing. <3

Thank you so much for this, you have no idea how happy I am to see that someone likes this fic (: And to see another Jim/Sherlock shipper who can live without the hero/villain complex. There's so much behind these two, and... I'm babbling, but yeah. thank you &hearts&hearts

haha, i know! i do adore their hero/villain complex but as you said i really think there's also something much more profound and complex going on with the two of them that just kills me. few things make me happier than to find other people who enjoy them as much as i do. :')

(as a sidenote, i also love the bert mccracken icon you used for the entry. you seem to have fabulous taste all around.)

Yes exactly ;~; there is so much to them, or it feels like the possibilities are endless when it comes to the mentality of these two. They provide such a great muse.

(I should say the same for you! Another Jim/Sherlock shipper who likes Bert/The Used? Is this a dream? Hahah. I've recently gotten back into them and, to be honest, Artwork has kind of been merging with my ship and it's driving me insane because I have no-one to share this with >_>

I have just found this and I really love it. I´m quite late with this comment but I hope you don´t mind. I listened to the song while reading this, by the way, and the atmosphere was so beautiful!

His mind remains blank as he thinks of tomorrow, remains blank as he tries to remember yesterday. -> Wonderful line, gives them a new chance, and

He’s sure Jim won’t mind it. He never really does.
-> This describes their relationship so good, I think.

I like this kind of Jim/Sherlock, it´s different to the violence and dark addiction types that come up more often. I like those too, but this is just.. beautiful.
I´m repeating myself :D
Thank you for sharing this.

I just love this story. Though it has been kinda hard to read it, mainly because there is such a painful yet intoxicating atmosphere. Like the smog. It is one of the rare stories, that caught me immediately and made me ache at the same moment. Very well done, really.
Though, there is this line when Sherlock asks Jim what the blank album is, Jim explains etc - and afterwards he throws it to all the other blank albums. Maybe I missed something, but this doesn't fit. He wouldn't ask if he knew, would he?
But that's my only criticism.
Very well done, such a beautiful story.

Greetings,
Vivian
