Color Me! Title: Snape and Trevor Characters: Elvis Presley and Abraham Lincoln Severus Snape and Trevor the Toad Rating: G Notes: Did I make Snape's hair too nice? =)
Oooh, I like your interpretation of thestrals. I love seeing what people see, it's also nice that they haven't been on film yet, so the artist's perspective in unconvoluted by THAT interpretation.
I agree that it's nice to have the pre-movie interpretations of the characters and creatures, because once you've seen the films some of that influence creeps in no matter what.
She is good, though almost shocking different (in appearance) from the canon. It's always a surprise when the actors look nothing like what you've imagined.
Heh, aww...thank you for trying! I wasn't sure if this one is really colorable, it's got so many scribbly lines in it (but I couldn't resist posting it anyway). =)
I love these both. And like said above, it's wonderful to see someone's interpretations before the films come out because they do have somewhat of an impact on most i think, even if it's minor.
Are you sure it's Trevor and not some poor student who was in the wrong place at the wrong time? ;)
As one who can't draw animals very well, I absolutely love your rendition of the thestral :D The cat's adorable as well - in my mind, it's not the cat that's afraid of the thestral but the thestral that's afraid of the cat XD So pretty I had to try my hand at coloring it. Not sure I did the picture justice, though. I didn't even check my copy of OotP to see what thestrals are supposed to look like -.-;;

Knowing Snape, that's entirely possible.
And thank you very very much for coloring the Thestral pic; I was rather disappointed when no one colored it immediately after I posted it, so I'm delighted that it's been colored now. Will go comment on it asap!

& Yes...I do quite like cats (& need more practice drawing them, so every little helps).

I tried colouring it for an hour or two and gave up, you drew it too real :)

It'll be interesting to see how the movie-thestrals appear compared to the many fan art versions out there.
