Man. My sister keeps dropping hints that I need to friend her on Myspace and I'm like "Ummm... No." I'm sorry your family are being snoopy fuckers. *hugs*
I lock anything that I wouldn't want my parents to see. Otherwise, I'm just boring. Though, I'm sure if my mom read my journal, she'd be unhappy to see how little I mop my kitchen. :p
Hey, my sister came on to LJ in the past year. She locks her posts, I lock mine and every now and then we leave something unlocked we want the other one to see, like what my neice said that day that was funny or about concerts or some such. I have a MySpace to track my youngest and sometimes his brothers, but I don't read their blog entries and I wouldn't dare comment! I've got some seriously heavy boundaries with family members. I respect them, they respect me and all is well in the universe. I've always kept most of my entries locked down regardless, so it always surprises me when others don't usually lock down the really personal stuff anyway. Sorry, you had to lock down out of frustration though.
