John left Rodney sleeping in his room, throwing on some sweats as he headed out for his morning run. He was humming softly to himself as he rounded a corner, not expecting to see anyone up this early... when he saw a rumpled Keller exiting Collie's room

She'd not wanted to leave, he'd not wanted her to leave. Jennifer had actually been leaving his place for the past 30 minutes and each time she tried he'd either pulled her back down to the bed or she'd gone to kiss him goodbye and curled up against him once more.

She knew that after today things would be different, they wouldn't be the same in one anothers company and if everything went wrong.. she wanted this moment to last. Kissing him goodbye at the door she slipped out the room and watched as he closed the door behind her.

Smiling to herself she ran a hand through her messy hair, jumping when she felt the hand on her back and John calling her name. Damnit

Taking a breath she turned and smiled sweetly at him, "Oh, morning John."

He laughed, shaking his head as he slowed back to a walk.

"I thought he was Lieutenant no-premarital-sex?"

"Didn't you ever learn that you can sleep in someone's bed and not have sex?" Jennifer was trying to not go all blushy and shy about this.

He shrugged. "Yeah, I just did it."

"I guess I was just hoping.. your night had been less boring than mine."

He chuckled, snagging her around the waist.

"I think they'll just have to deal. As for not wanting to leave..." He sighed, a mock-dreamy look on his face. "Me neither."

Laughing she wrapped an arm around him, leaning into him and hugging him close.

"Yeah? D'you think they will just deal?" Laughing at him she shook her head, "Yeah, but you two have been together for three months, this is just one night." She leaned her head up on his shoulder, "I'm hopeless aren't I?"

"Does Rodney ever just deal with anything?" he asked, shrugging. "And you're not hopeless... just a little hope challenged."

Suddenly acting a little childish, because this whole crush thing made her feel like she was sixteen again, Jennifer stuck her tongure out at him. "If I'm hope challenged then what does that say about you huh? You're all mooning over Mr Moody."
