Unfortunately, yes, I did kill him. This fic had a very dark theme overall, so Alfred's death seemed to fit right in there for me, it was just part of the flow.

This is indeed unexpected and quite abrupt end of a story, as I wondered how you're going to do this since it's listed as 4/4.

I'm sure though, that you're aware of what you did here :) So I'll leave those comments alone. However, I dearly hope you would refrain from using this method too often in the future, unless you have reasons e.g. family problem irl etc. so you just had to finish it in whatever way it takes.

I didn't kill Alfred just to finish the fic, I had it planned all along. I wanted it to happen. My last two fics had happy endings, so I decided that it was time for a change. Variety is good, and I needed some.
