This was always my favorite scene in the movie. Something about it zings me. I don't know why, but for some reason it has been bouncing around in my head this week. *ponders*

Well, seriously, we were having doubts. It's a bit pricey for us, esp. since we don't take advantage of the cabins. And I myself am still having my misfit issues. If I go, I have to leave my brain at home.

I'm pretty sure you would be totally welcome to camp with us at War Camp, if you don't have a "regular" crew to set up with. Obviously we're kid friendly, and E will have plenty of age-appropriate playmates! :)

The dual barons will be in attendance, and us "mere mortals" would be glad to have you to chat with for 2.5 days. :)

Thanks. I actuay did consider it. :) Right now it looks like we will have the laurel-apprentice-bond-o-rama camp thing going. But there's no reason we can't visit you and you us. I am also slightly tempted to bring my armor to war camp.

Trying to get to SRWC, but with the daughter getting married the following week, it is looking dicey.

Will have to get some of the IPA to you to try.
And/or the Black Currant Mead.

I think the turnout can be attributed to a lot of things.

Vineland raids was an RP and a K/Q champoinship event, and there was an event in Peru NY the same weekend.

Pennsic has been moved, so SRWC has been moved, so theres "one less week" for events.. which takes our normal "day trip visit event" further back on the "must do's" for folks from out of shire.

There wasnt a hell of a lot of publication, that I saw. We have grown "too comfy". There weren't even signs, and I heard major griping about that. (And that Caruso's was now Sapore restaurant, as well).

Theres some very political issues too, which we can discuss if you wish. I just chalk it up to "be careful what you wish for". If you wish for control of all things and local power, you get it. Whether or not you can _do_ anyting with it is another story.
