Can you please elaborate more on the Neuropathy? Josh has Neuropathy and the VA is not helping him WHATSOEVER other than giving him medication.

Hey doll, happy '25!

I believe I developed this neuropathy, stemming from that sciatica injury/problem I developed at the gym a couple of years ago. I took a break from the gym, which became a couple-of-years break. Which became gradual yet severe weight gain.

My right leg, which had just been numb in the toes and bottom of my foot spread up my right leg. I could smash my leg but not feel anything.

Fast forward to last March, I cut out sugar, bread, potatoes, that sort of thing. So far I've lost over 100 lbs. and got the feeling back in my leg, all the way down to my toes.

I don't think Josh has neuropathy due to physical neglect! But I can't say enough about cutting out sugar and inflammatory carbohydrates, it really has changed every single part of my life.

I hope he gets some relief soon, because not being able to drive with a numb foot or not being able to do essentially anything with numb or tingly fingers... It's no way to live, especially at his young age!

That's amazing, I'm SO happy for you!

I agree that cutting out all the foods that cause inflammation would help him (really all of us)..

He recently got extensive blood work done by his new Neurologist and he's looking at it not being Idiopathic Neuropathy which the VA has said it is for the past 8 years but possibly Rheumatoid Arthritis which is breaking my heart but I'm trying not jump the gun with worry until he sees a specialist. So we will be trying to eliminate food that causes inflammation if that might help him out. I just don't know how or where to begin. And I agree that whatever it is that he has is not due to neglect but his exposure to toxins in the military :(
