Melodrama aside, wow. I haven't ordered much from Modcloth since I got pregnant with Alec, but their dresses have changed big time in the past three years. When I ordered from them regularly they had tons of 50s' or pin-up style dresses: short sleeves, low necklines, fitted bodice, A-line skirts that went over the knee. They're one of those sort of custom sites, right?

The one woman I know who has bought from them said things run very short, but that was at least two years ago. I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the recommendation!

I second eshakti-- you can even pick your skirt length and input your height!

Yeah, it's a custom site. The things I've ordered from them weren't short. You put in your height and then choose how long you want it (knee length, etc.) I found the dress to be the perfect length on me!

It's still well worth checking out! They have plenty of casual dresses with the fifties silhouette, but I am in search of a formal. And I'm limited because of my size right now. If one is a 14 or under there are more options.

I also like supporting a Pittsburgh based business. It's like buying local for me.
