Yay! Rivalry! Zaelem better not back off because of Chairon! I mean, he's already backing off because of almost everything else, but to do so because of Chairon would be deserving of a good smack.
Men surrendering the girl to someone else because it's "better for her" or "he's not deserving" is just one of those things that irritates me to no end.
That aside, I was so happy to see so much Zaelem this chapter, but also really intrigued with Chairon. He's really that sincere? I think I'll need to see more internal development of his character before I start to really sympathize with him.
And three month hiatus? That's sad. I understand, though. I'm just starting school again and wondering why I chose now to try to start my story. Good luck with everything! I'll be waiting!

Just what the first poster said. Zae better not just leave the field to blond boy. Why doesn't blondy get a clue and see that Zae and Kis are meant to be a couple. I don't yet feel blondy is that heart taken but rather intentionally moving in because he sees that Zae isn't. Which makes him a jerk.

That flashback ... it makes it hard to decide if Mejaine is scarier now than she was back then. Either way, I think she's always been scary.
