Hey,
So I just found this community...I think it's pretty cool.
I'm graduating in a year or two from college and honestly, knitting has been awesome for me. haha.
So I took on a huge thing as my first knitting project and have yet to finish. I'm doing a scarf that involves double knitting...crazy? I think I am. haha. I'm about 3/4 done with it... ( Read more... )

Wait, what? Isn't double knitting used to make things that would have needed double-pointed or circular needles (ie knitted on the round), on flat needles? Or are you talking about some other kind of double knitting? What does it entail?

But yea, congrats! Knitting has been one of my favorite pastimes of the last decade, so congrats on joining the league of knitters! Many happy stitches to you :)

Hm...well I've been using the technique of double knitting which involves two different colors of yarn (for me, grey and black). SO one side has the pattern in black and if you turn it over, the other side has the same pattern in grey. Does that make sense? But I'm using single-point needles too.
