Thank you! <3 I always love writing Sam and Dean's brotherly banter, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. And that you thought the threads came together because I was very worried about whether I'd be able to pull that off.
So intriguing! Had a great time reading along trying to figure out whodunit and why Dean was being such an ass (but of course it could only be if he was bewitched!). Excellently done, thank you! :)

and this one was great.. Their love for each other, interspersed with Dean's strange behavior, was credibly done -- I knew right away that Dean was respelled, though I couldn't at first figure out by whom. I loved trying to guess all the suspects in turn, and then having a point that I should have picked up on earlier reveal the killer. That reminded me a bit of Chesterton's and Sayers' stories, in a very good way -- I like fair play mysteries!
The only places I got confused were (1) why Avery lied (unless she was afraid of coming under suspicion too) and 2) why the maid killed Ralph. I think I'll be able to figure that out by rereading that piece. I gobbled this story up in one sitting, so my mind isn't working at its very best.

Thank you! <3 I adore both Chesterton and Sayers so that's an incredible compliment!
Avery lied because she was afraid of being considered an accomplice. If the authorities didn't believe Sam's story and she'd supported it, they would have suspected her too. (So you're right about that. *g*)
As for the maid, Colum O'Donnell used a similar spell to make her resent Ralph enough to go along with the plan. I sort of hinted at it in the prologue but I suppose I didn't explain it very clearly at the end... My bad!
I really enjoyed the casefic; the twists, turns, and complexities - you kept me guessing through the whole fic, and I loved that, the mystery and the intrigue.
Plus there were so many brotherly moments and h/c too!
Thank you for sharing , I really enjoyed the read! :0
Well done my dear! Another superb masterpiece of entertainment. I do love a good murder mystery, but throw in a witch, a few ghosts, and snuggling winchester brothers... well, what you have here is perfection!

Of course Dean was bewitched. ;) He'd never be such an ass to Sam otherwise.
