Yeah, those are from Beauty Pageants (and I'd like to claim any trophy that says "BEST DRESSED" because I was her seamstress! hah). Those are some of her trophies (I just added another pic from a different angle, shows another shelf of them), there's also a glass display case in the front hall jammed pack full with trophies and tiaras that I eventually want to transfer into her room. Before Nathan was born, we did pageants for years so she would have a chance to be around other little kids her age. I always kept it cheap though by making all her outfits, doing her hair & photos myself, and only entering reasonably priced pageants (the moms who go nutzo and spend thousands upon thousands of dollars need professional help). Anyhooooo, when Celine randomly won "Grand Supreme" at a 'fancier' pageant, I considered her 'done' and she retired a champion. ;D
That is very kewl. Really. I mean, those moms *you know the ones are nuts*, but it sounds like you did it right. Now Ellen has loved the pedal pull from the first competition. She handed me her high heels, climbed on the tiny tractor and scored a full pull. The boys stared in HORROR!! lolz - I think Ellen is retired too now that she was 93 pounds.
We moved Ellen and her bed like yours to the living room. We are taking up the carpets and painting. Or at least, I hope we are. If Ellen graduates from high school while living in our main room, I'm going to be Very Upset!! lolz
Oh my, another room revamp! GOOD LUCK! It took me 4 years to finish Celine's; 4 more and she *would* be almost graduating from high school. lol
GO ELLEN, show those boys how it's done! That totally would have been me as a kid, I was always the only girl to do the 'boy' things (was the first girl to join the all-boys baseball & basketball leagues). "Anything you can do, I can do better..." You GO girl!
Congratulations! That's very impressive! It was also very nice of you to replace Celine's "my little pony" collection(you're a good Mom)! You should relax now-at least for a few minutes, lol.
