GARY | Indiana University Northwest Chancellor Bruce Bergland said all classes at the Gary campus will resume Monday at their regularly scheduled times.
Classes have been suspended for the past two weeks, with parts of the campus under water. Bergland said all parking lots are now dry and all but one building has been cleared for student use ( Read more... )

Yeah it's been crazy. and I imagine the chaos won't stop when we go back Monday. But supposedly the studio classes will be open, but the rest of Tamarack is fucked.

That's terrible. Where will you have class now?

The town where I go to school flooded and the basements of some of the buildings as well as my apartment complex did too. It flooded over the summer though so thankfully we didn't have our classes pushed back.

I know. The good thing is they just posted that all the studio class areas are fine. The rest of that building is too damaged to use though.

Floods sure do suck, huh? But that's good yours happened over the summer. Less drama that way. :P

let me know what happens with that... i'm only on campus once a week this semester, so i haven't lost a lot of time. but i was wondering what's going to happen with the fine arts students (painting, photography, ceramics, etc.) where are they going to go?

Luckily the studio classes are staying the same. But speech classes are being moved to another building. I was there today and there's pretty much full access to the entire building. But I think next semester or next year we'll all be displaced. :\
